The California State University (CSU) offers a comprehensive program of benefits to employees, and in many instances, to their families.  The CSUSM Benefits Portal is designed for finding CSU-specific benefits information quickly and easily. Each benefits program website was created to help you link to resources you need when you need them.

Affordable Care Act (ACA) Health Insurance Marketplace Employee Notice

One of the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires the CSU to distribute and make available the Health Insurance Marketplace Employee Notice to all employees. The purpose of the notice is to inform employees of the availability for health insurance coverage through the Covered California Marketplace. Covered California is targeted to individuals who are not eligible or do not have access to health insurance benefits through CSU, another employer or government program.

Dependent Eligibility Verification (DEV)

Effective 2018, employees must verify dependent eligibility every three years. The Dependent Re-verification (DRV) is the process of re-verifying the eligibility of your spouse, domestic partner, children, stepchildren, and domestic partner children (family members) enrolled for CalPERS health and CSU dental benefits. The re-verification period is based on your birth month, and communications on the process are provided beginning 60 days prior to your birth month.
