Wayne Veres is the Dean of Instructional and Information Technology Services (IITS) and Chief Information Officer. He has been at the campus since 1992. IITS is comprised of three units: Academic Technology Services, Telecommunications and Network Operations and System Development/Software Engineering and supports the technology needs of the campus community.

Margo is the Director of System Development & Software Engineering. She also serves as the CMS Project Director. She manages the software development team responsible for the design, implementation and support of campus wide software systems. Including integration with the campus PeopleSoft and Banner ERP systems, Directory Services, and Portal. Margo has been at Cal State San Marcos since 1993.

Bill Ward is the Director of Telecommunications and Network Operations (TNO) and has been with the campus since 1990. The units he manages are Telephone Services, Network Operations, and User Support Services. Some major services and programs that are part of TNO include campus wide desktop computer support including all student instructional labs, Faculty, staff and student help desks,  Telephone Services, computer refresh program, and campus wide networking which includes wireless.

Chuck is Team Leader for Instructional Development and Support; managing teams that help faculty create and maintain online courses, and build and maintain smart classroom technology on campus. He also consults on audio, video, graphics, and multimedia production and maintains the Technology Resource Center lab for faculty and staff. He is also directing the planning for audio and video studio spaces in the Kellogg Library scheduled for 2005.

Chuck has been involved in multimedia development since 1987, has worked at CSUSM since 1996, and has also served various departments as an adjunct instructor since 1997.

Cherie is on the ISD team that helps faculty create and maintain online courses and course components. She also is administrator for WebCT, the course management system used for the majority of online courses. The ISD team is also responsible for WebCT technical training/support and help with online course content development. Cherie's goal is to help faculty create well developed online courses that are both accessible to all learning types, and integrate technology in the best possible way to aid in learning.

Garrett Collins has been at CSU San Marcos since 1993. He graduated with a BA in English in 1995, then started the MA program in Literature & Writing Studies. He taught General Education Writing (GEW) to our first freshman class during 1995-1996. Since then, he has also taught through Extended Studies and the College of Business Administration. Garrett has been staff since 1997. Garrett loves supporting our campus community. Peace!

Bill is Team Leader for Academic Systems Support, the group responsible for maintaining the student computing environment on campus, supporting the computer labs, student user accounts, and residential computing needs, as well as operating the Student Technology Help Desk. Bill is also a UNIX and Windows server administrator.

Bill has worked for the university since 1997. Prior to this position, he hustled rocks and kept it real.
