Live Event Streaming
We have a lot of events going on here at CSUSM all the time. Some of these are pretty important, like streaming Commencement to the world so that someone's relatives far away can participate in the graduation of a grandchild. Once streamed these are also recorded and archived for later viewing. Some features of our live streaming systems include:
- Flash-based video for best quality;
- Video that can adapt to the bandwidth needs of the user;
- Cross-platform delivery (Win, Mac, Linux) across most browsers;
- Live captioning for hearing impaired viewers;
- Live blogging to create a back-channel for viewer comments.
