IITS Security Recommendations for Android Mobile Devices
If you access campus email on your device, we strongly recommend setting a passcode that you must enter each time you turn on or wake up your Android. Setting a passcode turns on data protection, which uses your passcode as the key for encrypting mail messages and their attachments stored on your Android device.
Please note: Sensitive or confidential information must not be stored in an unencrypted format on mobile devices without express prior authorization of the CSUSM Information Security Officer. If you wish to discuss this policy, or your particular situation, please feel free to contact email@example.com.
