CSU San Marcos students and Alumni use Cougars Email, which is based on Google's Gmail system.

Faculty and Staff
Users of our Faculty/ Staff Exchange email service can access their email away from their primary computers. There are currently two methods for accessing webmail.
Starting in the Summer of 2012, our Faculty/ Staff email is moving to Exchange Online. Users will be notified in advance of being moved to the new system. These users will now use Exchange Online to access their email.

Squirrelmail is used by those students not yet moved to Cougars Email, along with some of our faculty.
