Broken Links

Each month a script is run to check broken links across the campus website. As an administrator for one or more of the sites on campus you may recieve an email with a broken link report.

Please take action and visit Cascade to fix the links.

How to read the report

  • location is the page that contains the broken link. Open this page in Cascade to edit and fix or remove the link.
  • text is the actual text of the link that is broken
  • broken link is the URL that results in a broken link
    In the three examples there are different types of broken links. 
    • The first is an external link to another site on campus. The page may have been moved or deleted. Search the site or contact the site owner for the location of the page.
    • The second is an internal link to a page in your site. The page may have been copied to a new location in your website and not published to the web. Recheck the link to make sure it is going to the correct place
    • The third is a link to external website. Please visit the site and make sure the link is correct
