Common Data Sets

The Common Data Set (CDS) is the result of a collaborative effort in 1997 between four major college guide publishers and the educational community to develop a standard set of questions and data definitions for use in surveys that gather information for college guidebooks, rankings and other resources for prospective students.

The CDS for Cal State San Marcos is compiled each year by IP&A and sent to various vendors. The CDS contains a variety of information about our campus about students, faculty and academic and support programs.
