Classroom Support

Classroom support for project students and teachers will involve Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) students, research scientists and PI’s assisting in classrooms to implement iQUEST activities. Laptop carts from the San Diego County Office of Education, probeware purchased by the project, and global positioning devices (GPS) will be available for checkout to assure Information and Communication Technology access for all students. A schedule for classroom support will leverage CSIS student time in participating classrooms. A iQUESt help desk, staffed by CSIS students, will be available weekdays for project related questions and support. This support, along with mentoring, is critical to build confidence and ensure success when teachers first implement technology in their classrooms.
