Professional Development
The iQUEST project will develop and implement a design for professional development and classroom learning experiences that incorporate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources including visualization tools, interactive games, online collaboration, videoconferencing, and open source applications. The project will support middle school science teachers in becoming ICT-savvy workforce members who feel comfortable in utilizing ICT resources to engage students in investigations that lead to profound understanding of scientific concepts. ICT-enhanced lessons adopted by ICT-savvy teachers will in turn promote students’ readiness, interest, and participation in ICT and STEM fields, thus impacting career choices for the future.
