The iQUEST Project invites teachers and guests to attend a workshop showcasing 8th grade science lessons created and field tested by 8th grade science teachers from the iQUEST Project. These lessons incorporate technology in innovative student learning experiences. Attendees will be engaged in three hands-on activities.

8th Grade SPARK Activities: Two labs will be presented, each designed by project teachers to challenge students through investigations to explore scientific concepts. Scratch Projects in Science: This free software allows students to be 21st Century learners as they create and share mathematical and computational ideas. iQUEST Driving Simulation: This simulation was created by the iQUEST project to capture 8th grade students’ interest in driving as they investigate force and motion through exploration of relationships among speed, time, and distance. Click link to read how this was used in project classrooms. |
