How does Web 2.0 support collaboration and learning?


Participants will:
  • review refreshed ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for Students
  • learn about Web 2.0 tools and relate them to ISTE NETS.
  • create a blog, use a wiki and explore other free tools.
  • discuss strategies for using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom.
  • receive resources and ideas to further explore online tools.
  • plan an activity using a Web 2.0 tool for the classroom.

Introduction:
The Web 2.0 will give teachers the skills to integrate collaborative technology into their classrooms. Through this session, teachers will identify free interactive tools from the Internet to support collaboration and communication in the classroom and practice their use during the session. Discussions will provide insight into strategies for implementing Web 2.0.
