ICP Seminars
Seminars offer the opportunity for professional development in areas of teaching that are not taught in the classroom. When students attend at least 3 seminars within a given semester they receive a certificate from the field placement office to place in their portfolio to use when interviewing for a teaching position.
ICP students attend Professional Develpment Seminars during the Community theme, semester 4, and Clinical Practice, semester 5, allowing them to obtain up to 2 certificates for their portfolio. Many districts ask for them and it could be the deciding factor between two candidates for hire.
