Represented Employees Performance Management Overview

Annual Performance Evaluations:

All respresented employees (Units 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9) and long-term temporary employees receive annual performance evaluations. Represented employees are evaluated on an annual cycle which runs from April 1 of one year through March 31 of the following year (e.g. 4/1/15 - 3/31/16). The annual performance evalutions are due to OHR in mid-May. The specific due date is announced on an annual basis.

Note:

  • California State University Employees' Union (CSUEU) - Units 2, 5, 7 & 9: A draft of the performance evaluation must be provided to the employee to provide input for consideration prior to the final evaluation being completed. The employee then has 5 workdays to submit his/her input prior to the final evaluation being completed, and may request an additional 5 workdays to complete their review and provide input prior to the final evaluation.

  • Academic Professionals of California (APC) - Unit 4: A draft of the performance evaluation must be provided to the employee to provide input for consideration. The employee then has 14 calendar days to submit a rebuttal prior to the final evaluation being completed.

Probationary Evaluations:

The Probationary Evaluations are due to OHR two weeks after the end of their scheduled probationary period.
