Curriculum

MBA Bridge (2 units): Before beginning the program, all students will be required to complete a 2-unit MBA Bridge program focused on basic skills including career planning, business communication, and quantitative methods.

The Foundation (0-12 units) - Certificate of Business Foundations: Foundation is a 12-unit multi-disciplinary pre-MBA graduate program designed as a refresher of basic business courses for those with undergraduate business degrees and as an introduction to business disciplines for those holding undergraduate degrees in non-business disciplines. Students with business degrees may petition to waive the Foundation depending upon how recently they have earned their degree and minimum GPA requirements. Students who successfully complete the Foundation will earn a Certificate of Business Foundations.

The Core (16 units) - Core Business Knowledge Certificate: The Core consists of 16 units of advanced graduate courses to be completed over the fall semester and winter intersession. Students who successfully complete the Core will earn a Certificate of Advanced Study in Core Business Knowledge.

Specialization (12 units) – Specialization Certificate: This phase is for students who have completed the Foundation and the Core and entails 12 units of advanced study in an option of choice.  Students will earn a Certificate of Advanced Study in Business Intelligence, Hospitality and Tourism Management or International Business.

Culminating Experience (6 units)
The program ends with a capstone course and a culminating experience. Business Intelligence Option students and Hospitality and Tourism Management Option students will complete a final project.  International Business Option students will participate in an international experience involving travel to a foreign country with a faculty member to participate in company visits and pursue a project.
