Student Research Leads to New Discoveries
Searching for a cure from a parasite, utilizing stem cells to revive endangered species, exposing voter skepticisms and reducing exercise workout times without compromising results are among the top ten research and creative projects presented by CSUSM students at the 2013 Symposium on Student Research, Creative Activities and Innovation. $550K Gift Establishes Alliance to Improve K-12 Education
Despite 20 years of education reform, only about one-third of U.S. students are proficient in reading and math, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress. To help close achievement gaps and improve K-12 student learning, the Price Family Charitable Foundation announced that it will award a $555,000 three-year grant to CSUSM to establish "The Alliance to Accelerate Excellence in Education."
