Modern Language Studies Open Forum on Apr. 9

Mandarin Chinese is the official language of Mainland China and Taiwan, and is one of the official languages of Singapore and the United Nations. It is the most widely-spoken language in the world.

We would like to offer Mandarin Chinese this fall, in which you would be able to fulfill your entire language requirement for graduation in just one year.  However, we need to know if a sufficient number of students are interested in taking Mandarin Chinese before we make a commitment to offering this exciting new course at CSUSM. Dr. Glen Brodowsky, Dr. Hughes and Dr. Xiao will be there to provide additional information and to answer questions. More details will be presented on Tuesday, Apr. 9 at Noon in Markstein 213.  Pizza will be served.

The class will be tentatively offered as shown below:

Fall 2013:
Chinese – TW 5:30-8:15pm & R 5:30-7:30pm (Listed as MLAN 101-1; Meets 1st half of semester)
Chinese – TW 5:30-8:15pm & R 5:30-7:30pm(Listed as MLAN 102-1; Meets 2nd half of semester)

Spring 2014:
Chinese 201 – Schedule TBA
