Graduating College Senior Survey

Dear Graduating Senior,

Please tell us about your experience at Cal State San Marcos!  Our campus is participating in a national survey of college seniors that examines the effectiveness of college.  Conducted by the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) at UCLA, this survey asks your opinion on many items relevant to examining the impact of college.  Students from colleges and universities across the country are asked to participate in this same survey.  It asks you about your academic habits and experiences, your interaction with peers and faculty, your involvement with campus programs and activities, your satisfaction with your college experience, and your post-college plans and aspirations

CSUSM receives very important information about your class from this survey, and we hope you will take the time to complete it.  We participate in this survey every other year; if you would like to see results from prior years, please go to: http://www.csusm.edu/ipa/surveys/css.html

At the beginning of the survey, you are asked for your name, address, student ID and email address so that the researchers at UCLA can merge your responses with future data in order to support a comprehensive research program.  In addition, completing this section will enter your name into a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card. The drawing will be held on May 8, 2013.

Check your e-mail for a link to the survey and your unique logon ID.

Your participation in this research is strictly voluntary.  Your completion and submission of the questionnaire indicate your consent to participate in the project (please read the ³Survey Information Sheet² linked on the survey website for more information).

If you have questions about this survey or you are not a graduating senior, please contact Pat Morris (pmorris@csusm.edu) in Institutional Planning & Analysis at CSUSM.

Thank you for participating in this important research project.

Sincerely,

Karen S. Haynes. Ph.D.
President
