Police Training on Campus Nov. 20 and 21

On November 20 and 21, the University Police Department and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting a regional two-day Law Enforcement Driving Course in the south end of parking lot F.

This state-mandated low-speed training is designed to improve officers and deputies performance in the safe operation of a patrol vehicle during normal operations encountered every day.  This includes basic tasks, such as parking maneuvers and lane changes.  Speeds during the training will be less than 15 miles per hour at all times.

To facilitate this training, a portion of lot F will be closed both days.  We do not anticipate the partial closure of lot F will significantly impact our student, faculty or staff access to parking.  Questions regarding this training should be forwarded to the University Police at 760-750-4567.
