Appointment of Dr. Regina Eisenbach as Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Programs

To ensure as robust and diverse a pool of applicants as possible, a decision has been made to close the current search for an Associate Vice President for Academic Programs at this time, and to start over with a new search in the 2013-14 academic year, once a new Provost is in office.

I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Regina Eisenbach has agreed to be the Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Programs with effect July 1, 2013.   Dr. Eisenbach  has served as Associate Dean in the College of Business Administration for 13 years and was Interim Dean of CoBA in 2011-12.  Dr. Eisenbach received her doctorate from the University of Miami and joined Cal State San Marcos as a faculty member in 1991.  She became an Associate Dean in CoBA in 1999.  During her 14 years as an administrator at CSUSM, Dr. Eisenbach has served on numerous campus-wide committees, ad hoc committees, search committees, and task forces.  Her administrative experience and broad knowledge of campus policies, procedures, and operations will ensure a smooth transition in the office of Academic Programs next year, as a new Provost takes office and we move forward with the search for a permanent AVP for Academic Programs.
