Safe Space Training for Undocumented Students

We invite you to participate in an exciting and important event. We are offering two different trainings (morning and afternoon) that we hope will help  create safe spaces for undocumented students and their families.
At this training,  you will…
-- learn about laws that shape the undocumented student experience
-- listen to personal narratives
-- learn about resources on campus and in the community
-- be exposed to some research on undocumented students in education
-- become aware of immigrant rights' social movements occurring at the local and national level
All CSUSM community members are warmly welcomed: students, staff, faculty and administrators.
"Education without Borders" will be offered Friday,  Apr. 18 (from 9 a.m. to noon) and Friday, Apr. 25 (1 to 4 p.m.) in SBSB 1111.
Light refreshments will be served.
Participants who complete the training will receive a safe space logo sticker, designed by CSUSM student Christian Cayetano.
