Savings Plus Program 401 (k) and 457 Transition
The current Savings Plus contract for administrative services with Nationwide Retirement Solutions expires at the end of the year. After a thorough proposal and evaluation process, Savings Plus awarded the new contract to Aon Hewitt effective January 2, 2013. This change brings exciting new features, cutting-edge technology, and interactive tools designed to make retirement planning easier.
At this time, employees are not required to take any action. Employees will receive a transition guide in the mail that will provide further information on the transition including key dates and action items. Some of the upcoming enhancements include:
- New robust website for account management
- Investment advice
- Automated rebalancing for optimized investment results
- Mobile access for retirement planning on the go
On January 2, 2013, Savings Plus will launch its new website, savingsplusnow.com. The new website will replace sppforu.com. With the switch, employees will not be able to access past statements on sppforu.com. Employees who need copies of prior statements will have until 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time on December 26, 2012, to download them. To access statements online, log in to your account on sppforu.com and select “statements.”
