Alternative Consultation - Academic Excellence & Student Success Fee

Protecting & preserving the things we value most at CSUSM

Since 2007, the State appropriation to CSUSM has been cut by approximately $20 million or 20 percent, while the number of students has increased by approximately 20 percent.

The budget reductions of the past five years have seriously undermined the ability of our campus to maintain the current levels of student support.

In order to protect and preserve the things we value most at CSUSM, the campus is exploring creation of an Academic Excellence & Student Success Fee.

The campus has begun an Alternative Consultation to gather feedback and input from the campus community on implementation of an Academic Excellence & Student Success Fee. Please visit our website at www.csusm.edu/successfee to learn more about the process and what a Academic Excellence & Student Success Fee would mean to CSUSM.

Please plan to attend one of our open forums planned for:

Date:      Tuesday, Feb. 26
Time:      Noon
Location: Arts 240
or
Date:      Wednesday, Feb. 27
