University Student Union Construction Begins Jan. 30, 2012
Chavez Stairs will reopen August 15, 2012. Transit Center and pedestrian traffic on south side of Campus View Drive remains closed for duration of project and will reopen in October 2013.
University Student Union construction begins on Jan. 30, 2012, with closure of Chavez Stairs, Transit Center and pedestrian access on the south side of Campus View Drive as the site boundary fencing is installed.
Chavez Stairs will reopen to pedestrian traffic on Aug. 15, 2012.
Access to the Interpretive Gardens and Frisbee Golf is still available via the Kellogg Library pedestrian path.
See above map for alternate pedestrian routes, including the serpentine path to Science Hall 2 elevator and stairs or Parking Structure elevator access to bridge on the 6th level.
