Message from Vice President for Student Affairs Eloise Stiglitz
I am writing with bittersweet feelings to let you know that I will be leaving CSUSM to take a position as vice president for student life and dean of sudents at Mills College, a women’s college in the Bay Area. While I am clearly excited about realizing a dream of mine to work at a women’s college, especially one as diverse and unique as Mills, I am sad about leaving my wonderful colleagues here at CSUSM.
These past few years have been awesome as we have worked together to support our students’ success. I will always cherish the relationships I have developed, appreciate the commitment to students that I have experienced and be grateful for whatever impact I have had on our students and the campus. I will carry with me, in my heart and in my mind, the connections and lessons of my time here at CSUSM.
I will be here until January 18, 2013. I hope that I will be able to see as many of you as possible in person to say good bye. But if not, I want to thank each one of you for making this place so special and my time here exceptional.
President Haynes will be consulting with divisional leadership and will make an appointment of an interim vice president as soon as possible.
Please note: President Haynes will host a farewell event on Friday, Jan. 18 in the M. Gordon Clarke Field House/University Student Union from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
