Now Accepting Workshop Proposals for First Annual CSUSM Women's Leadership Summit

The first annual Women’s Leadership Summit, March 1-3, 2013, is an intensive off-campus retreat for undergraduate CSUSM women that will educate, inspire, and empower future leaders as agents of change. The summit is a unique opportunity for women to come together to explore their voice, find courage, and become empowered as social change leaders. Through interactive workshops, informative presentations, and personal exploration, participants will come away from the Women's Leadership Summit ready to step up as leaders for positive social change in their communities, on campus, and in their academic fields.

The planning committee is now accepting workshop proposals from staff, faculty, community leaders, and graduate students within the themes of Empowering the Leader Within, Leadership for Social Change, and Managing Work-Life Balance. Each workshop will be an hour and 15 minutes. Workshops that are interactive and rooted in praxis will be highly considered. All workshop proposals must be submitted online by Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.  For more information, and to submit the online proposal application, go to:
