Faculty-Staff Convocation to Launch Academic Year at CSUSM

California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) will launch the 2010-11 academic year with its annual fall Convocation for faculty and staff on Thursday, Aug. 25. For the first time in approximately 15 years, the event will be held on campus at The Clarke Field House/University Student Union.
Scheduled for 9:00 a.m., the event will include an address by President Karen Haynes. Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Emily Cutrer will serve as mistress of ceremonies.

What: Convocation is an annual welcome to the faculty and staff of CSUSM and marks the beginning of the new academic year
When: Thursday, Aug. 25, 2009, reception begins at 9:00 a.m. with the program and remarks beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Where: The Clarke Field House/University Student Union—located at the corner of Campus Way and Campus View Drive
