Free Information Session for CSUSM Digital Arts Certificate Program

California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) Extended Learning is pleased to announce it is offering a free Information Session to introduce those interested to the Digital Arts Certificate program.

Who: Eric Teitelbaum, co-creator of the Pink Panther Comic Strip, is the Program Advisor for the Digital Arts Certificate program at CSUSM. New Media designer Robert Dillworth, whose credits include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sony Music and Warner, is lead instructor for the program.

What: A free Information Session for anyone interested in the Digital Arts Certificate program. Eric Teitelbaum and Robert Dillworth will be available for questions and demonstrate some of the latest digital techniques! Attendees will also receive an overview of the program, component courses, and how the Certificate could benefit their personal and professional interests/careers.

Why: The Digital Arts Certificate program at CSUSM is for those interested in Web page design, graphic design, advertising art, digital illustration, commercial digital photography, and/or video game animation. In particular, the program is ideal for those responsible for creating Web sites, graphics or brochures and who want to develop visual communication skills to improve designs or help you enter the field. The program consists of a series of workshops, and there are two program "tracks" from which to choose: Web Page Design or Computer Graphics & Design. Students in the program will:
    - Learn how to take simple concepts and turn them into powerful visual messages
    - Gain hands-on practice in the elements and principles of design
    - Learn to design electronic pages, ads, brochures
    - Learn to design dynamic Web pages
    - Develop electronic illustration techniques
    - Gain an appreciation for commercial digital photography
    - Gain an awareness of today's marketplace
    - Train on contemporary design software in modern labs
    - Train with experienced instructors in small
