Recipients must be enrolled in the School of Nursing, have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average, and demonstrate high financial need to be eligible for the scholarships.

Assistance League of Inland North County, a chapter of National Assistance League®, is a nonprofit organization that strives to improve the lives of children and adults in need through hands-on philanthropic programs that are developed, funded and administered by an all volunteer membership.

"Our commitment is to the community and it is the nursing students who will be on the front lines making an impact," said Assistance League President Diane Millard. "The School of Nursing has a terrific success rate and we couldn't be prouder to be providing these funds for students."

Dr. Judy Papenhausen, director of the School of Nursing, said she was appreciative for the support of the league. "Many of our students are first generation college students and this support makes the financial burden of pursuing their dreams a little lighter. Our students are very grateful."
