Faculty-Staff Convocation to Launch Academic Year at CSUSM

California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) will launch the 2010-11 academic year with its annual fall convocation for faculty and staff on Thursday, Aug. 26 at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.

Scheduled for 9:00 a.m., the event will include an address by President Karen S. Haynes.  Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Emily Cutrer will serve as mistress of ceremonies.

Who: President Karen S. Haynes and nearly 500 faculty, staff and administrators.

What: Convocation is an annual welcome to the faculty and staff of CSUSM and marks the beginning of the new academic year.

When: Thursday, Aug. 26, 2009, reception begins at 9:00 a.m. with the program and remarks beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Where: The California Center for the Arts, Escondido-340 N. Escondido Blvd., Escondido, CA 92025
