CSUSM will soon be home to the North County news bureau of KPBS. Beginning later this month KPBS reporters Alison St. John and Kenny Goldberg will have offices as well as recording space in Craven Hall on the sixth floor.

In exchange for the office space, KPBS will provide CSUSM with promotional spots for both TV and radio as well as web sponsorship. In addition, KPBS will open its internship program in news and/or production to CSUSM students who meet criteria and apply through a competitive process.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for CSUSM to reach the KPBS audience and increase community awareness of our programs,” said Associate Vice President for Communications Cathy Baur. “This partnership provides additional opportunities to showcase our faculty and provide our students with valuable hands on experience.”
