I am the Administrative Assistant for the NLRC. I provide administrative support for the Center’s management staff.  My work consist of managing projects, coordinating events, symposiums, and conference, and organizing project-related activities such as execution of focus groups, community forums and other project-related tasks.

 

I graduated from Cal State San Marcos in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.  I also have a Pre-School Teacher Permit, a Program Director Permit, and an Adult Education Certificate. In the past,  I have worked as a Program Director for an Early Child Development Center in Escondido, California, as an ESL Instructor (INEA) for Palomar College, teaching parenting classes for the San Diego Parent Institute for Quality Education, as a Teen Program Supervisor for Foothill High School, and as a Social Worker and Parent Involvement Coordinator for MACC Project Head Start.

 

My interest lies in educating Latino parents with parenting classes to improve the relationships with their children.
