When and How to Apply for Admission to the
Traditional BSN or LVN to BSN Programs at CSU San Marcos
You must complete a separate, online application to the School of Nursing for entry to either of these two Nursing programs. The LVN to BSN program is only for students who hold an active California LVN license, and whose Nursing course credits and grades appear on a regionally-accredited college or university transcript, except for military-trained applicants.
Students will apply during the following time lines. There isn't any charge to apply to our School of Nursing for admission to one of these Nursing Programs. You do not need to have the Pre-Nursing Core coursework completed until the end of the previous spring term for a fall entry to the program. For the Traditional BSN program, student will have until the end of the previous spring term to complete the TEAS exam or for other coursework, the LOTER, or volunteer/work experience to be applied toward admission to the program.
