Admission for Upper-Division Transfer Students
Please refer to the University Admissions Web site for admissions requirements, deadlines, and the tracking of your application status.
Students can apply for admission:
- To the University as a Pre-Health Sciene student to take non-NURS courses required as part of the BSN degree, other than Pre-Nursing Core science courses, prior to being admitted into an actual Nursing program.
or
- To the University for admissions directly into one of the Nursing Programs; and
To the School of Nursing directly into any of our Nursing programs
Applicants must apply separately to the School of Nursing for admission to a specific Nursing program (Generic/Basic BSN or LVN to BSN). Applicants to the self-support School of Nursing RN to BSN or RN to MSN programs need to apply directly to Extended Learning. The School of Nursing application period for entry in Fall 2012 to our Generic/Basic BSN and/or LVN to BSN program coincides with the CSU Admissions application filing period of Oct. 1 - Nov. 30, 2011 for entry in Fall 2012.
Admission to the University as a Pre-Nursing student does not guarantee you a spot into an Impacted Nursing program. Currently our only State-support Impacted Nursing program is the Generic/Basic BSN program. Applicants to this program are rank ordered based on points earned according to the Supplemental Admission Criteria, as linked under the Generic/Basic BSN program on the Nursing Programs Web page.
