Minimum Qualifications to Enter the Traditional BSN Program

There are two minimum requirements to be considered for admission to the Traditional BSN program:

  1. Completion of the Pre-Nursing Core, or equivalents, with a minimum 2.75 GPA by the end of Spring 2013.  College coursework must be completed at regionally-accredited institution, accredited byWASC, or other regional affiliate.
(Students are strongly advised to have completed an Introduction to Psychology (or General Psychology) course and an approved Growth and Development course across the lifespan prior to entering the Nursing program.
  2. Obtain a minimum composite score of 71.0% on the TEAS exam, version 5.0 or higher, by the stated deadline in link for Submittal Deadlines.

Please be aware the Traditional program is Impacted; therefore, our approved Supplemental Admission Criteria (a Point System) for 2012-2013 will be utilized to rank order all applicants.  We are predicting that our State funding will allow us to admit only 40 Traditional BSN students in Fall 2013.
