Upper-Division Transfer Students
Admission for Upper-Division Transfer Students
Please refer to the University Admissions Web site for admissions requirements, deadlines, and the tracking of your application status.
Students can apply for admission:
- To the University as a Pre-Health Science student to take non-NURS courses required as part of the BSN degree, other than Pre-Nursing Core science courses, prior to being admitted into an actual Nursing program.
- To the University and to the School of Nursing (two separate application processes) for admissions directly into the Traditional BSN or LVN to BSN Program. Please see the Extended Learning Web site for information on applying for entry to the RN to BSN or RN to MSN program.
Applicants must apply separately to the School of Nursing for admission to a specific Nursing program (Traditional BSN or LVN to BSN). Applicants to the self-support School of Nursing RN to BSN or RN to MSN programs need to apply directly to Extended Learning. The School of Nursing application period for Fall entry to our Traditional BSN and/or LVN to BSN program coincides with the CSU Admissions application filing period of Oct. 1 - Nov. 30.
Admission to the University as a Pre-Nursing student does not guarantee you a spot into an Impacted Nursing program. Currently our only State-support Impacted Nursing program is the Traditional BSN program. Applicants to this program are rank ordered based on points earned according to the Supplemental Admission Criteria, as linked under the Traditional BSN program on the Nursing Programs Web page.
