
Minimum Eligibility to Apply for Entry to the Fall 2012 Gen/Basic BSN Program
- Completion of the Pre-Nursing Core by the end of the Spring 2012 semester with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Link to more information about the Pre-Nursing Core at CSU San Marcos. We do not have a limit on how many Core courses can be in progress in the Spring 2012 semester.
- A current CSUSM student or admission to the University as a Transfer or Post-Baccalaureate Student for entry in Fall 2012.
- A minimum composite TEAS score, Version 5 only, of 71% by the end of the Spring 2012 semester.
- Approximately mid-May 2012 is the deadline for anything else to be used for optional admission points, such as completion of the TEAS exam, University's Language other than English Requirement, Volunteer Hours, and/or Work Experience.
Admission to the Generic/Basic BSN program is based on our approved Point System, or Supplemental Admission Criteria. Students are rank-ordered by total points earned. Our current State funding allows us to admit 40 Generic/Basic BSN students each fall.
