Public Computer Desk Assistant needed for 5 - 10 hours per week. This person will assist patrons in accessing public computers using EnvisionWare software, help patrons with Internet and Word software such as Word, PowerPoint etc. and provide minor troubleshooting of soft/hardware. This person must have to ability to work well with the public, have good communication skills, basic knowledge of software and ability to function at a fast paced public desk. Adult Literacy: Opportunities to tutor adult English speakers in reading, writing, math and basic computer skills. The Urban Adolescent Prevention Program (UAPP) provides cultural, academic, preventative and youth development activities to Urban Native American Youth, ages 11-18 years of age, throughout San Diego County. Academic tutorial services are provided in North County and South County, Monday-Thursday, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CSUSM community service learners that work with the UAPP complete special projects with the students. Some examples include: start-up and the maintenance of a Youth Council, Marketing Projects-marketing fundraisers, and assisting students with planning and coordinating events and activities. No fingerprints required. |
