Find Cougar Carpool Matches with RideMatcher
Welcome back Cougars! This semester save money on parking and gas by carpooling to campus. Cal State San Marcos has teamed up with SANDAG's iCommute program to bring RideMatcher to CSUSM. RideMatcher is a new online tool to help find fellow student carpoolers in their area with similar class schedules.

Changes to Motorcycle and Carpool permit programs
Motorcycle permits
Motorcycles must park in a designated motorcycle parking space. With the addition of Parking Structure 1 (PS1) and modifications to surface Lot N, an additional 74 motorcycle spaces will be available. General motorcycle permits are valid in general motorcycle spaces in Lots C, F, J, N, O, and PS1. Faculty/Staff permits are valid in faculty/staff motorcycle spaces in Lot E as well as the motorcycle spaces in general lots. The cost for the motorcycle permit is $70.00. Complimentary motorcycle permits will no longer be offered with the purchase of a vehicle parking permit.
Reminder: Motorcycle permits are valid for one semester and must be placed on the front fork of the motorcycle so it is clearly visible.
Faculty/Staff Carpool permits
Parking and Commuter Services will no longer issue an "extra" carpool permit to Faculty and Staff carpool teams on parking payroll deduction. Teams will be required to exchange one LT permit for a Carpool permit. The Faculty/Staff Carpool permit will continue to be valid in designated Carpool spaces, as well as the General and Faculty/Staff lots.
Reminder: Carpool permits are only valid in a carpool space when two or more persons ride together.
PARKING LOT CLOSED EVERY WEDNESDAY (LOWER LOT B)
Every Wednesday from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, CSUSM hosts the San Marcos Farmer's Market, sponsored by Event and Conference Services, in Parking Lot B. At the market, you'll find fresh, locally grown, healthful produce including fruit, vegetables, eggs, and honey. You will enjoy demonstrations, music, artisanal breads and prepared foods, tastings, and more. The market is certified by the state meaning that the produce is being sold by the grower, is grown in California, and meets all California quality standards. Stop by to check it out.
Please note: In support of this community event the west half of Parking Lot B (lower lot B) will be closed every Wednesday for the Farmer's Market. As an alternative, we recommend parking in Lot s X, Y or Z which can be accessed from Twin Oaks Valley Road.
