 Citation Appeal/Administrative Review Information
 
This is a request for an appeal/administrative review (level 1) only

Submittal of this citation appeal/administrative review does not mean that the parking citation will be dismissed. 

Go directly to the Citation Appeal Form (Level 1)

Citation appeals must be submitted within 21 calendar days from the date of the citation or within 14 calendar days from the date of the “Notice of Delinquent Parking Citation” that is mailed to the registered owner.  Late submittals will not be accepted and the fine must be paid with any applicable late fees.

Complete one form for each parking citation. Citation appeal/administrative review forms can also be obtained by visiting, calling, or e-mailing Parking Adjudication.  Parking Adjudication is located in the Foundation Classroom Building, room 107. The phone number is: (760) 750-7505, and the e-mail address is: parking@csusm.edu.

  • Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the citation appeal/ administrative review process to complete.
     
  • You will receive the results via U.S. Mail at the address you provide on the form.  If you do not receive a Citation Review Board Internal Results letter after 8 weeks, please call (760) 750-7505 or email:  parking@csusm.edu. Parking Adjudication is not responsible for US mail deemed undeliverable due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
     

  • If the citation has been upheld, the citation penalty amount is due within 21 calendar days from the date of the Citation Review Board Internal Results letter.  If you are not satisfied with the review results, you can request an Administrative Hearing (level 2). This request must be made within 21 calendar days from the mailing date of the Citation Review Board Internal Results letter. The penalty amount shall be deposited with Cal State San Marcos Parking Adjudication within this time frame or a hearing will not be scheduled.  For further information, please see: Administrative Hearing (Level 2)
     

  • If the citation has been reduced to a warning, you do not pay the penalty amount and the citation is dismissed.  No further action is required.
