Students may park in any general parking lot (B, C, F, J, K, L, N, O) with a valid student semester or daily parking permit. (Parking Lot Map)  There is no student parking in the faculty/staff parking lots (Lots E & H) or in the faculty/staff reserved area of parking lot N or F.  All of these areas are considered reserved and the fine for unauthorized parking in a reserved lot is $150.00 dollars.  Parking is enforced 24 hours a day 7 days a week.   Student semester permits as well as daily permits must be clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle.   Reserve Lot D is a reserved parking lot and has no student or visitor parking at any time.  Signage at the entrance of each parking lot identifies the lot designation.  Semester parking permits may be obtained at Parking and Transportation Services (FCB 107), University Cashier's Office (3rd floor Craven Hall Rm. 3107), or on-line: Purchase Student Parking Permit On-line

Daily permits are available for purchase in general parking lots. (B, C, F, J, K, N, and X)  Please use the Yellow Permit Machine for these transactions.

Warning:  Permits are for the exclusive use of the registrant.  Permits may not be sold, exchanged, given away, or purchased from any person or agency other than Cal State San Marcos Parking and Transportation Services.

Permits may not be reproduced or altered.  Any vehicle displaying a lost/stolen, forged or altered permit is subject to a citation and the user could face potential disciplinary action.  Permit remains the property of Parking and Transportation Services and will be revoked if it is observed being improperly used. 

Parking and Transportation Services is not responsible for lost or stolen permits.

Parking and Transportation Services cannot accept credit cards for walk in parking permit payments.  All credit card transactions must be completed on-line at: Purchase Student Parking Permit On-line

Students wishing to pay parking fees using a credit card must order on-line: Purchase Student Parking Permit On-line.  Walk in sales will be check or cash only.  The University accepts MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Electronic Checks when paying on-line.
