
Academic Hall was the first building to provide lecture classroom and computer lab space at Cal State San Marcos which included a 145 seat stadium style lecture hall. Academic Hall was the first landmark for Cal State San Marcos with the very notable clock tower at one end of the building. This clock tower is present in the campus logo used to identify California State University San Marcos.
This building currently houses the following functions:
- American Language and Culture Institute
- Office of Training, Education and Research in the Sciences
- Kinesiology Labs
- Computer Labs
- Classrooms
