In 2008, California State University San Marcos opened up the first location in Temecula at the Paul Goldring Garrett Institute for Higher Learning.  This project designed and renovated approximately 18,000 sf at a new location, the Joan F. Sparkman Elementary School, in Temecula, CA for the purposes of offering educational opportunities to a larger region.

The City of Temecula gave the campus $1.6M in Redevelopment Funds for this project that provided classroom space, a state-of-the-art video conferencing room, Nursing Skills lab and state-of-the-art Simulation Labs.  This new location will continue to provide Accelerated BSN degrees, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute courses and will also add MSN and RN to MSN programs that are new for the 2009/2010 academic year.
