CSUSM Temecula Campus

In 2008, California State University San Marcos opened up the first location in Temecula at the Paul Goldring Garrett Institute for Higher Learning. This first location was funded through generous donations from local developer, Paul Garrett, Southwest Healthcare Systems, EDGE Development Corporation, and the City of Temecula Redevelopment Agency.

As demand for more educational opportunities increased within the region, the center moved to an educational facility on Margarita Road just north of Temecula Parkway. This project designed and renovated approximately 18,000 sf at a new location, the Joan F. Sparkman Elementary School, in Temecula, CA for the purposes of offering educational opportunities to a larger region.

The City of Temecula gifted $1.6M in Redevelopment Funds for this project that provides classroom space, a state-of-the-art video conferencing room, Nursing Skills lab and Simulation Labs.  This new location will continue to provide Accelerated BSN degrees, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute courses and also BS degrees in Kinesiology, Business Administration, and Criminology and Social Justice. In addition to these degree program CSUSM at Temecula offers several professional certificates.
