Planning, Design and Construction: Slideshow of our current projects

In support of the vision, values and goals of California State University San Marcos, the office of Planning Design & Construction is committed to serving the campus community in the development of University facilities.  This commitment is reflected in our department name:

PDC provides forward thinking to support the academic mission of the University and strategic planning for future projects through the CSU Capital Outlay process.

PDC manages all new building designs through the development and implementation of the CSUSM campus building standards.  PDC, through the use of lessons learned, strives to create higher standards for each new building.

PDC manages and monitors all construction efforts in a fiscally responsible, timely, safe, sustainable and efficient manner.

PDC Values:

Respect: PDC values the needs of our campus constituents.  Our goal is to build your vision.

Trust: PDC seeks to earn the trust of all parties involved through demonstrated commitment and customer service.

Professionalism: PDC strives to engage the most professional consultants and processes to assure the highest quality projects.

Responsibility: PDC is the steward of the Campus and CSU fiscal and environmental resources.  We hold ourselves and our actions to a high standard.

Collaboration: The PDC culture is one of involvement and diversity in planning, design and the construction process.  We deliver a balance of wishes, needs and goals.

Guidance:  PDC should be considered a resource for the campus community to provide assistance and prudent guidance through the capital improvement process.  We are University First proponents, balancing the needs of the students, faculty and staff, with the CSU and professional building standards and codes.
