History
In
December 2004, President Karen S. Haynes commissioned a new
strategic plan. This plan would serve
to build a
vision for the future, address significant growth and
improvement opportunities and align budget and resources with
campus priorities.
The
strategic
plan embraces CSU
priorities outlined in the Cornerstones Report, the CSU
strategic plan, and recognizes the intricate system of
enrollment, academic, budget and
physical master planning. The university's
commitment to academic excellence, student life, campus climate,
community partnerships, and educational equity are pillars of
the plan with objectives built around each of them.
The strategic
plan provides divisions, colleges and individuals with a lens by
which to guide strategies, actions and decisions. At the same
time, it provides us, both as a university and individuals, the
flexibility to be innovative and imaginative, leverage new
opportunities and respond to changing environments while
remaining focused on our shared vision.
