Executive Travel

Definition:California State University San Marcos recognizes that there is always a degree of risk involved with business travel, regardless of the mode of transportation. CSU San Marcos encourages awareness, on the part of its managers and administrators, of these potential risks when making business travel plans, especially when planning same destination trips for multiple employees. Whenever feasible and appropriate, the university recommends separate travel arrangements for groups of employees traveling to the same destination. The university's executive level employees are prohibited from traveling together to the same destination without the express written consent of the President.

Scope:This policy applies to executive level employees of the university and, as determined feasible by university managers.
