Performance Evaluation

Definition:It is the policy of the California State University to require periodic performance appraisals for each permanent, probationary or Management Personnel Plan (MPP) employee. Specific information concerning the frequency of performance evaluations is contained in the Education Code and bargaining unit agreements.

Scope:This policy and any related procedures apply to all non-academic university employees defined in MOUs as full-time, part-time, probationary, and permanent, and to all MPP employees.
