All items to be shipped out by Federal Express must be received in
the Mail Center office no later than 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for truck
pickup.

If you are planning to take the item directly to the local Federal
Express drop-off, in front of the
San Marcos Post Office, you must notify Mail Center staff
and send the top copy of your form (the "Sender's Copy") to our office via
intra-campus mail for billing. You will need to
have your item to the drop-off no later then 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The following are steps
which must be taken in order to properly process and track your FED EX shipment.
The FedEx
air bill must be filled out correctly and in its entirety.

is your valid mail account code assigned to your org.

complete
recipient address, including the recipients name,

No Post
Office boxes or P.O. zip codes are
allowed. |

Express Package Service: |
Check off
the service you require. If you do not check off a service, Fed Ex will
automatically send it as a Priority Overnight and higher rates do apply. |

Packaging:
|
Mark the box that best
fits your packaging. |

6. |
Does this shipment contain dangerous goods?
|
The answer should be no unless dry ice is used. |

7. |
Payment Bill To:
|
Mark sender unless
the item you are preparing in being charged to the recipient or a third party.
If this is the case, you will need to cross out our Fed Ex account number in
section one and write in the account it is to be billed to here in section
seven. |

8. |
Release Signature: |
This authorizes
Fed Es to deliver without obtaining a signature. This is recommended only
when you must have the item delivered regardless of having proof of who singed
for it such as when sending to personal home addressed. |

The complete air bill, including the “Sender’s Copy” must be forwarded to
the Mail Center for processing. If you are delivering the item directly to Fed
Ex
you must send the “Sender’s Copy” of the air bill to the
Mail Center for
processing. If desired, make a copy of the air bill for your records.
The university’s Fed Ex account number is to be used for
university business only. It is not to be given out to any non-university
personnel or used for private business.
Reminder:
If you need to send an overnight mail item to a P.O. Box address you must
utilize Express Mail through the United States Postal
Service.
