THE BIRTHDAY WIGGLE

My stomach feeling wiggly
like a worm in mud,
excited as can be
waiting for some fun,
waiting for a wagon ride
and a throw at a target
and line dancing, too,
and maybe making dresses
and maybe jumping rope.
The bomb in my head
is going to explode
before my birthday party.
