BRIANNE MCFADDEN
TITLE: "Memory"
ARTIST STATEMENT:
Songwriting is an amazing process of recovery for me. I take life
situations and use my ability to write, my love for music, and
love for singing to express to the listener my feelings and passions.
I wrote Memory years after my Grandfather’s death.
It took years to write because I had to go through all the steps
of losing someone to have a clear perspective of what I wanted
the song to relay to the listener. To express all the deep emotions
I was dealing with: sadness, the memories, laughter, and the joy
of a reunion in the next life.
God, relationships, nature, personal battles and victories, family
and friends, all of these things inspire my song writing. To have
a close emotional tie to something or someone allows me to create
a song that I can pass to the listener, and hopefully cause an
emotional connection for them to my song, or spark a memory in
the listener that connects him or her to the song.
I love music. Songwriting is not just something I like to do, it
is something I am passionate about doing. Music and songwriting is
my way of expressing myself.
