Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
From its humble beginnings
25 years ago, MADD
has evolved into one of the
most widely supported and
well-liked non-profit
organizations in America.
Learn about how
MADD first started, the
history of our fight against
drunk driving and for
victims' rights, and some of
their victories along the
way at the MADD
website.
The CSUSM Police Department
supports MADD and
their 25 years of continuous
service for all Americans.
The CSUSM police want to
remind you all to drive safe
and sober.
"MADD
wants everyone to remember
the three keys to protecting
themselves while on the
roads: drive safe, drive
sober and drive buckled up,"
said MADD National
President Wendy J. Hamilton.
"Drunk driving crashes are
preventable, yet they still
are the most frequently
committed violent crime in
America."
MADD and the
Campus Police Department
reminds everyone:
● Be responsible
and don't risk it … you will
be caught.
● If
you plan to drink, choose a
designated driver before
going out.
● Take
mass transit, a taxicab, or
ask a sober friend to drive
you home.
● Spend the night
where the activity is being
held.
● Report
impaired drivers to law
enforcement.
●
Always buckle
up - it's your best defense
against an impaired driver.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit grass roots organization with around 600 chapters nationwide. MADD is not a crusade against alcohol consumption – MADD's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.
Drunk driving and its
consequences can be
prevented. Tackling it
requires the involvement of
every concerned citizen. You
can take action to make your
community a healthier and
safer place. Join the CSUSM
Police Department and a
growing number of people
across the nation who have
launched coordinated efforts
to prevent drunk driving in
their communities.
